Course Bibliography
The textbook for the course is Fred Brooks' The Mythical Man-Month. This book is a software engineering classic, written in 1975 and updated 20 years later. It has definitely stood the test of time and covers topics that are still relevant in modern software development. | |
The second textbook is "Linux Shells by Example" by Ellie Quigley. No explicit readings will be assigned from this book. However, it contains a lot of background information on the tools that we will be learning in lab. As such, it should be used as a reference manual throughout the semester. |
