CSCI 6402: Issues and Methods in Cognitive Science

This course surveys the foundational issues in cognitive science as well as the methods used to investigate them. The focus this semester will be on the issues and methods related to research currently going on here at CU. We will have a lengthy list of guest speakers coming through.

 

General Information

Basics

This class meets Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00 to 6:30 in room D430  in the Muenzinger Psychology.

The best ways to contact me are in person and via email. Don't bother leaving me voicemail, I don't reliably  listen to it.

Readings

The required required readings for this class will primarily consist of journal articles that will be made available on-line.

Schedule

A very preliminary schedule with readings has been posted.

Requirements

The following are the main requirements of the course:

  1. Do the readings.
  2. Present (lead a discussion) of one of readings during the semester.
  3. Midterm survey paper.
  4. Final group project
