Games for Health

 

Games for Health provides students an overview of health and wellness informatics initiatives that encourage people to be physically active. In addition, students will work in teams to create a game for health.



  1. Learn about health and wellness informatics

  2. Develop ideas about the role of technology to improve health

  3. Understand the interplay of social interaction and technology for health design

  4. Acquire practical research oriented skills for transdisciplinary research 



Prerequisites: None (Students should be comfortable with tinkering and iterative design)

Time: Tuesdays & Thursdays from 12:30p-1:45pm

Place: ECCS 1B14

Office Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:45p-2:45p in ECST 322 (follow stairwell signs that mention WIEP or the Real McCoy Grill) OR ECOT 743

Textbook: None (All students expected to contribute up to $75 to projects)

Games for Health is a mixed undergraduate and graduate student three credit course offered through the Department of Computer Science in the School of Engineering at the University of Colorado.
