Egg Nog Recipe 6 Egg yolks 6 Egg whites ½C Granulated sugar 1C Brandy OR whiskey OR rye 1/3C Rum 2C Heavy cream 4C Milk (anything but Skim milk) Beat egg yolks until lemon colored, gradually adding the sugar. Slowly stir in the rum and whisky, cover and chill. Just before serving fold in the (1)whipped cream and (2)stiffly beaten egg whites, adding milk as desired. Serving suggestions, sprinkle with nutmeg or shaved chocolate or cinnamon or ginger or grated orange rind. Makes about 20 servings. (1)whip the 2C of heavy cream adding about 4 table spoons of granulated sugar and a teaspoon of vanilla - to taste (2)whip the egg whites in a clean cool bowl until the egg whites are stiff (they peak when the whisk or beater is pulled up) If you use good quality alcoholic beverages in the recipe you will find that this is one fine egg nog.
