Mom's Candy Bar Pie Ingredients: 1 Prepared Oreo/Chocolate pie crust 6 (1.45 ounce) bars milk chocolate (i.e. Hershey Bars) 15 large marshmallows 1/2 cup milk 1 cup heavy whipping cream 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)1/2 cup frozen whipped topping, thawed (optional)1 (1.55 ounce) bar milk chocolate with almonds, coarsely chopped Directions: 1. Put a large mixing bowl and beaters in the refrigerator to chill. 2. Chop the candy bars up into small pieces. In a (Double Boiler works well)medium saucepan, combine the chopped bars of chocolate, marshmallows, and milk; heat and stir over medium heat till melted. Remove from heat; cool to room temperature. 3. In the chilled bowl, beat whipping cream and vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed till soft peaks form (tips curl). Fold whipped cream into cooled chocolate mixture. 4 Spoon chocolate mixture into the pie crust. Put in refrigerator overnight (or until firm, but overnight is best). Garnish with additional whipped cream and chopped chocolate bars. (WARNING: do not put pie in freezer or it will separate - you'll have a whipped topping/marshmallow top and melted chocolate underneath.)
