Course Bibliography

The textbook for the course is Fred Brooks' The Mythical Man-Month. This book is a software engineering classic, written in 1975 and updated 20 years later. It has definitely stood the test of time and covers topics that are still relevant in modern software development. The Mythical Man-Month
The second textbook is "Linux Shells by Example" by Ellie Quigley. No explicit readings will be assigned from this book. However, it contains a lot of background information on the tools that we will be learning in lab, and, as such, it should be used as a reference manual throughout the semester.
