Advanced Machine Learning (CSCI 6622)

Assignment 1: Due January 17, 2002

For next class (January 17), prepare a 5/10 minute presentation and a written summery of not more than 1 page (one paragraph is enough) describing the following:

1. A machine-learning problem that you find interesting. The problem can be theoretical, algorithmic and/or practical in nature.
2. Open questions in Machine Learning that you think are relevant to this problem.

You will hand in your written summary at the beginning of next class.
