Dec 2005 - Jan 2006: Trinidad/Tobago area, exploring, testing out my new rigging, windlass, and self steering, continuing boat chores (crew Tom Pratt + kids, Dodi and Dick Luongo)
Feb-Mar 2006: side trip to the fiords of southern Chile with David Mitchell aboard Shandon, a Bowman 48.
Apr-May 2006:sail up the island chain to Antigua for their sailing week races (crew John and Lynda Mcginley, Anne Hammond)
June-August 2006: Exploring the Caribbean and worrying about hurricanes (crew Jim Lane, Adam Bednarik, and Susha Pratt)
Sept-Dec 2006: Hide from the hurricanes in Trinidad, road trip with my brother Tom to visit relatives in the northeast we hadn't seen since we were 10, side trip to hike in Peru to the Macchu Pichu Inca ruins with David.

2007
Jan-Mar 2007: Explore Venezuela from Trinidad including the Manamo River in the Orinoco delta. (crew Hannah, Libby, Susha, Weston)
Apr-Oct 2007: Home for an award from the University, then an awesome trip to Spitzbergen north of Norway that got cancelled at the last minute. (no crew, boat on the hard in Trinidad)
Jul-Dec 2007: Boat chores (new wind generator, maybe a water maker, bottom paint, new main sail) and then sail along the north coast of South America to Panama, which is reported to be out of the hurricane belt. (crew maybe Jim Lane, come visit, especially if you speak Spanish)

2008
Jan-Mar 2008: In the boatyard fixing the skeg that was knocked off in a poor judgement incident at the island of La Blanquilla, Venezuela.
Apr-Jun 2008: Offshore islands of Venezuela, Los Roques, Las Aves, etc. to Bonaire. (crew: Jim Lane and Libby Pratt)
Jul-Dec 2008: Bonaire, Curacao, Aruba, 5 Bays Columbia, Cartegena, Columbia, San Blas islands of Panama), heading to the Panama Canal. July and August included a side trip on Threshold with Steve and Karen from the Lofoton islands of Norway to Svalbard and the island of Spitzbergen. Totally awesome, but I didn't see a polar bear, except stuffed in a museum.
