Users interactively explore the science behind bungee jumping using this bungee simulation comprised of various falling weights and bungee cords. A metaphoric scientific leap (or plunge) lies at the heart of this exhibit. Computer-controlled video capture and playback software records the "jumps" performed by the falling weights and then allows users to explore the video to help understand the motion of the cord. This project setup could be used to target a large variety of different scientific principles as well as a diverse audience of users.
