Senior Project - Webucate

Paragon Consultants specializes in the creation of computer-based courseware, interactively teaching valuable technical skills without losing the attention of the student. The courseware consists of a specialized text editor, which provides the user an interface for creating and editing course files. The course files are then interpreted by a course-generator, which presents the course to the student. The system required the user to install every component on the software prior to viewing a course. However, the market for these courses included many corporate employees, who were reluctant to breach security by installing third-party software on their work computers.

The goal of the project was to create a version of the course-generator whose output course can be viewed as a Java applet on a web page using a standard web browser. Paragon's existing software could still be used to create the course and existing course files would still be usable. However, users would now be able to view the course without installing any specialized software on their computer.
