GMG-Plot: A Plot Interface to GeoScribe
Senior Project: 1992-1993
This project provides a plot interface to GeoScribe, Green Mountain Geophysics'
database. GMG-Plot features interactive construction and previewing of plots
involving virtually any spatially-variable parameter in Green Mountain's
GeoScribe database. Plots can then be transferred to a variety of "hard-copy"
devices. The plots may be scaled to any proportion and involve colors and 3D
contours. Strong emphasis was placed on flexibility and a GUI consistent with
existing GMG Millennium series software. Supported platforms consisted of DOS
machines (running Microsoft Windows), Sun 4 (SunOS), DECstation (Ultrix), IBM
RS/6000 (AIX), and the Silicon Graphics Indigo (Irix). Supported output devices
consisted of PostScript, HP LaserJet Series II, and Epson printers, as well as
Versatec color plotters. GMG-Plot will be part of Green Mountain's Millennium
Series software, and is portable to both Motif on UNIX workstations and
Microsoft Windows on PCs. This product was written in C++ and uses XVT's GUI
Interface.
