An Animation Facility for QuarkXPress
Senior Project: 1994-1995
Vidar Hesselmann, Allan Hundhausen, Michael Newland and Zachary Nies
Quark, Inc. is the publisher and author of QuarkXPress, software for the
production of high-quality newspapers, magazines and advertising pieces. As the
nature of documents has evolved, it became desirable to allow for the inclusion
of new types of information in addition to text and graphics. One of these
types of information is animation.
This project provides a means for the inclusion of animations in documents. The
user is able to specify various attributes of an animation, including the
animation file itself, frame rate, velocity, and animation path. The package
also includes facilities for the playback of these animations. This project was
implemented in C in a Macintosh environment.
