Web Site Thumbnail Generator
Senior Project: 1998-1999
Lumio is a small startup company producing advanced 3D visualization and
usability tools for very large web sites. One such tool produces a 3D model of
the content of a web site, using small icons to represent the various files and
directories in a site. The goal of this project was to develop a library that
would allow a program to easily generate thumbnail images of an arbitrary web
page. These images could then be used instead of a generic icon when producing
the 3D model, making it easier to understand what the model is trying to
depict. The software was developed in C++ using an object-oriented approach.
