Network Data File Format Conversion Utility
Senior Project: 1989-1990
The Hewlett-Packard Colorado Telecommunications Division develops network (both
LAN and WAN) analyzers. These analyzer products capture data from a network,
saving that data in files of a particular format. There are a number of other
competitive products which also generate functionally similar files. The goal
of the project was to develop a utility to convert the various available file
formats into HP's format. This would allow a customer to protect their current
investments from obsolescence while they pursued a growth path with HP. The
utility was developed in C on an IBM compatible PC, but was designed so that it
was easily integrated into Hewlett-Packard products.
