MeetingOne.com is a startup company in the teleconferencing industry located in
Denver, Colorado. It has launched a leading edge teleconferencing product
called Click&Meet. MeetingOne.com plans to market a complete range of
teleconferencing services to large, medium and small companies. Prior to this
project, MeetingOne.com was in need of an instant messaging service to work
seamlessly within the current Click&Meet product.
The JIMMO team developed an instant messaging component to work within the
Click&Meet interface and consists of a server and client application. The
server is implemented using the C programming language and uses sockets and
pipes to handle messages from the MeetingOne.com server. The client uses an
enhanced Jabber IM client (an open-standards and open-source Instant Messaging
platform) and enables teleconferencing participants to do instant messaging
with each other as well as anyone else on-line. The enhanced functionality of
the Click&Meet software will increase the efficiency of teleconferencing.
