Ticketing and Alert System for MeetingOne

MeetingOne Corporation is a provider of on-demand, user-controlled audio and
data conferencing services, offering quality products to its customers. The
current tools to track customer issues and business trends did not meet their
standard of quality, so they requested development of an application that
integrates with a variety of existing systems, consolidates information, and
alerts appropriate personnel so that they may respond quickly to important
business issues and trends.
The purpose of the project was to develop a ticketing and alert system for
MeetingOne. The software is a web-based service for tracking, reporting and
alerting individuals when issues are brought to MeetingOne's attention. The
primary goal was to develop the software in such a way that it could
intelligently monitor customer usage data and deliver alerts and reports
when certain events occur.
The solution focused on MeetingOne's need to track customer usage. To meet this
need, a set of alert criteria were developed, enabling MeetingOne to track
changes in customer usage habits. Milestone Alerts were developed to
track when a customer reached a specific point in the product lifecycle (e.g.
first use of product by the customer, revenue from the customer reached $5,000,
etc.). Trend Alerts were developed to monitor a general increase or
decrease of product use. These alerts allow MeetingOne to track when any
customer's or group of customers' usage changes by the specified amount, either
in a positive way or negative way. Finally, a simple Ticketing
Interface was also developed to interface with existing technologies at
the MeetingOne corporate office.
