Electronic Flashcard Development System
Senior Project: 2001-2002
Andrew Gill, Mark Holtze, Lam Pham, Eric Rybczynski and Patrick Simek
The popularity and widespread use of flashcards in education and by individuals
created a need for a computerized flashcard program, a flexible program that
allows the design, use, and physical creation of flashcards. While there were a
small handful of flashcard programs in existence, most were inflexible and
difficult to use. The goal of this project was to create a new program that
provides a straight-forward, standards-compliant interface that includes the
features necessary for a wide range of fields and ages.
This project allows a user to create their own flashcards, save and retrieve
decks of flashcards, and quiz themselves over a set of cards. Flashcards can
contain areas of text, images, and sounds and can be printed. The project was
implemented in Java.
