Senior Project - Birdfeeder

After eating at a restaurant with a group of friends, the perpetual dilemma includes figuring out who had what items, splitting the check into portions, grouping credit cards with appropriate items, and finally waiting for the server to split the check and run all of the individual credit cards. Almost inevitably, someone will forget to include tax or tip or both and someone will end up paying much more than originally intended.

Birdfeeder seeks to solve these problems by placing control into the hands of the customer via his or her mobile device. Needing only a receipt code -- a unique identifier for each ticket -- a customer can select all of the items or portions of individual items that he or she would like to pay for, automatically including tax and customizable tip. Entering the credit card information and paying right from the phone makes the meal end more pleasantly for all thanks to Birdfeeder.
