Colloquium - Gunningberg

A Real-World Test-Bed for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks: Methodology, Experimentations, Simulation and Results

The talk will focus on two parts:

Per Gunningberg is a Professor in Computer Communication at the University of Uppsala, Sweden. He leads the Computer Communication group CoRe, at the department of Information Technology. His most recent work includes test-beds for wireless ad hoc networks, content adaptation overlay networks, intermittent networking, bandwidth measurements, and vertical handover of voice streams. He holds a PhD from Uppsala University in 1983, and a MS from University of California, Los Angeles, in 1981. Before joining Uppsala University in 1995 he was at the Swedish Institute of Computer Science. He has recently been an associate editor for the IEEE Transaction of Mobile Computing and a member of the Technical Advisory Committee for ACM SIGCOMM. In June 2006 he co-organized ACM MobiSys. He is a co-founder of the startup company OptiMobile (2003).
