Colloquium - Greenberg

Combinatorial Optimization Models in Molecular Biology
Director, Center for Computational Biology, CU Denver
2/14/2002
3:30pm-4:30pm

This talk will survey a variety of combinatorial optimization models, all of which are NP-hard. Some have been studied for decades, like protein folding. Some have been studied for a few years, like protein alignment by contact maps. Others are very new, like pathway inference. My own contributions are recent and bring an operations research vantage to these problems.

Hosted by Harold (Hal) Gabow.
Refreshments will be served immediately following the talk in ECOT 831.
