Colloquium - Enderton

Computer Graphics for Film Characters
Industrial Light and Magic
4/9/1998
3:45pm-4:45pm

This talk is an overview of Industrial Light & Magic's computer graphics process for the creation of synthetic 3D characters and other visual effects. Modeling, animation, skin control, textures, rendering, and compositing all contribute to the final illusion. We illustrate with video taped examples from "Men In Black," "Flubber," "Dragonheart," and other films.

Refreshments will be served immediately before the talk at 3:30pm.
