Colloquium - Leonard

ECCR 265

Parallel Computing - Strategies for Enterprise Software Development
Patrick Leonard
Rogue Wave Software, Inc.

Rogue Wave Software's Patrick Leonard will host and drive discussion about High Performance Computing (HPC) for enterprise computing environments. HPC is becoming very important to business, government and academic fields today to manage both ever-increasing amounts of data and complexity/speed of data analysis. This is requiring more extensive use of parallel computing in both hardware and software. Rogue Wave will discuss multi-core, concurrency and GP-GPU technologies -- all emerging as ways to address the high performance demands organizations are facing -- and offer potential solutions available using these technologies.

Hosted by Jeremy Siek.

The Department holds colloquia throughout the Fall and Spring semesters. These colloquia, open to the public, are typically held on Thursday afternoons, but sometimes occur at other times as well. If you would like to receive email notification of upcoming colloquia, subscribe to our Colloquia Mailing List. If you would like to schedule a colloquium, see Colloquium Scheduling.

Sign language interpreters are available upon request. Please contact Stephanie Morris at least five days prior to the colloquium.
