I will talk about issues related to RFID technology, in particular, privacy and information sharing models. The first part of the talk will discuss the issues in general in relation to upcoming events on RFID privacy and information sharing, which will be held in Tokyo this November and December. The second part of the talk will discuss the initial conception of personal privacy assistants (PPA), a critic-based mobile user interface that helps RFID users assess and control privacy risks by supporting awareness of privacy risks and suggesting relevant actions.

Sponsored by the Center for Lifelong Learning & Design.

The Department holds colloquia throughout the Fall and Spring semesters. These colloquia, open to the public, are typically held on Thursday afternoons, but sometimes occur at other times as well. If you would like to receive email notification of upcoming colloquia, subscribe to our Colloquia Mailing List. If you would like to schedule a colloquium, see Colloquium Scheduling.

Sign language interpreters are available upon request. Please contact Stephanie Morris at least five days prior to the colloquium.
