Teaching is one of the most important missions of the Computer Science
Department and TAs play a critical role in the Department's graduate and
undergraduate teaching programs. To recognize the contributions of the TAs,
the Graduate Committee presents Outstanding TA awards each semester.
Director of Graduate Studies Xiao-Chuan Cai
announced the following Outstanding TAs for Fall 2003:
Aubrey Rembert,
Christoph Reichenbach
and
Martin Cochran.
In addition, Jerry Sun
was announced as the Outstanding TA for Spring 2004.
Each of these students will receive a certificate of recognition
and a cash prize of $200.
The winners were selected by the Graduate Committee based on the students' TA
performance in the Fall 2003 and Spring 2004 semesters.
The Graduate Committee evaluates
all TAs in the department each semester and selects the best to receive the
awards. The committee offers its congratulations to the winners and its thanks
for their outstanding contribution to the Department of Computer Science.
