Computer Science graduate student
Erik Komendera
was awarded both a NASA Space Technology Research Fellowship and a Ford
Foundation Predoctoral Research Fellowship for Fall 2011. He chose to accept
the NASA Fellowship for his proposal titled "Autonomous Assembly of Structures
in Space", which will provide up to four years of paid tuition, stipend,
faculty fees, and travel expenses. Erik will also work in a NASA research
facility for 10 weeks of each year he is a fellow, and research in the
Correll Lab while not at a NASA center.
