October 2002
It was with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Professor
Harry Jordan
on Sunday, October 13, 2002. On behalf of Harry's many
friends and colleagues in the Computer Science Department, Chair
Clayton Lewis issued the following statement:
 Jordan
Harry Jordan, a member of our faculty since the founding of the department,
passed away on October 13, after a long and courageous battle with kidney
failure. Harry played an important role in establishing Computer Science at CU,
and was a loyal and active colleague for us in CS as well as for the members of
his home department, Electrical and Computer Engineering. A highlight of his
recent research was his role in creating the first-ever all optical computer.
All who had the chance to work with Harry will sorely miss his warm smile and
incisive judgements.
