TechoShark, Inc., a startup company founded by CU-Boulder Associate Professor
Richard Han and his graduate students in
Computer Science at CU, won the Computer Science award at the
CU New Venture Challenge in April 2009 for
best Computer Science business plan. In June 2009, TechoShark debuted its
hoozat application on location-aware
mobile social networks in Apple's iTunes App Store, and signed a licensing
agreement with CU. Earlier, TechoShark also won an NSF SBIR Phase I award.
