John Bennett
and
Shivakant Mishra
will be joining our faculty as of this summer.
Both are researchers in distributed systems.
In addition,
Richard Osborne,
a database researcher, will join our faculty this fall.
Professor Bennett earned his PhD at the University of Washington and
comes to us from the faculty of his undergraduate alma mater,
Rice University, where his record in research, teaching, and service has been
extraordinary.
Associate Professor Mishra was an undergraduate at the Indian Institute
of Technology, Bombay, and earned his PhD at the University of Arizona.
He is currently on the faculty at the University of Wyoming.
Assistant Professor Osborne earned his PhD in Finance
at Michigan State University,
and joined our database group as a Research Associate in 1996.
For the last year he has served as Research Assistant Professor.
Rick brings an outstanding teaching record,
along with his research contributions, to his new role.
